The Fruits Of Harvest

After some 120 people shared in three harvest services organised by St Christopher’s English speaking church – with a fine array of fruit, vegetables and other produce hungry people in other parts of the globe can share the fruits of the season.

A total of €838.09 was raised from church collections supplemented by a harvest lunch in Alcossebre and a traditional harvest Supper in Ampolla – where a group of Catalunyan guests were much enchanted by English harvest songs and a rousing rendition of Old Macdonald and his farm.

The money has been sent to the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal to counter famine in Africa and Pakistan.
