OLIVA NOVA GOLF COURSE TUESDAY 29th of April 2014

PEGO GOLF SOCIETY “TEAM COMBINED STABLEFORD” Life for a golfer doesn’t get any better, than playing Oliva Nova this morning in the most beautiful weather , with a golf course in the most beautiful condition. We had a maximum turnout today of 52 players and guests, and the guests were Terry Lennard Jnr, Tony Holland, Graham Radford and Dave Evans. We had many more wanting to play, but it was impossible. All guests were warmly welcomed by our Captain Danny Herron.

We played in teams of four, with the best three Stableford scores counting at each hole

The winners of the competition today were as follows:-

1st Place

The team of Terry Lennard, Terry Lennard Jnr, Tony Holland and Nigel Siddall with 115 Points.

2nd Place:-

The team of Danny Herron, Brendan Young, John Saint and Peter Cornes with 106 Points.

3rd Place:-

The team of Charlie Miller, Ronnie Webb, Donal Murphy and Trinnie Sutherland with 105 points

There were two “2’s” today, and that was by Terry Langley and Peter Cornes

The “Balls in the Water” prize was won today and the winning total was a massive 140 golf balls in the water.

Nearest the hole at Hole 3 was Charlie Miller with 3.77 Meters, and at Hole 16 the winner was Peter Chapman with 2.84 Meters.

Peter Cornes presented a Birthday Bottle and that was won in a draw by Angus Muir.

There were three 1st round match play results today, and they were as follows:-

Shaun O’Gorman beat Colin Foster by 1 up

Peter Rapley beat Martin Gates by 2/1

Terry Langley beat Andrew Harrison by 3/1
