levantegolfLEVANTE’S Roy Molyneux is enjoying a purple patch of form. After winning Division 2 at the society’s previous meeting, at Villaitana, his handicap was cut to 18.1 and he moved up the ladder into Division 1. And in the next meeting, at Oliva Nova, Roy did it again. A 38 point return won the Division 1 top prize and brought another cut in handicap – to 17.5. Second in Division 1 was Vaughan Dillon with 37 points, three clear of third-placed Anne Edwards. Dave Geeson was the day's top points scorer. His 41 point return means that he too joins the ranks of Division 1 players - the winning score moving his handicap down from 18.9 to 17.1. Meanwhile, Levante’s president Frank Carroll showed that a break can often help your golf. This was Frank’s first game in two months and his 37 points gave him second spot in Division 2, one more than third-placed Alan Simpson.
