On the 18th June in the Valencian League Championships, Javea played away at Bonalba. The result was 6 points apiece – an absolute dead heat, this unusual occurrence was because both teams scored 77 shots each thus sharing the shot difference bonus points. Five disciplines were played, Ladies and Gents Singles, Pairs, Triples and Rinks, with each side winning 2 and drawing 1.

Shining for Javea were Tony and Anne McKenna who won the Pairs by 17-11 shots and Clive English who won his singles match by 21 shots to 7. As the result shows, this was a very tight match indeed, with no quarter given by either side.

Meanwhile back at the ranch on the same day, Javea's 'Emeralds' squad were hosting Finca Guila in the CBBA Northern Summer League. This was another tightly fought contest with both sides gaining 12 points each, but the overall shot difference of 91-71 tipped the final tally Finca Guila's way giving them the 2 bonus points and a final match total of 14-12.

The Taylor Trophy Open Floodlit Triples saw a change at the top of the leader board after the second week's play on 16th June, there are 5 teams who have won 3 out of a possible 4 matches with 6 points each, but rising to the top of the table with a shot difference advantage of 30 are the 'Deviates' – so well done to John North, Dennis Reeves and Greg Sperring.
