PEGO GOLF SOCIETY "TEAM ACCUMULATOR TUESDAY 9TH OF APRIL, pego-golf-2013

Quote of the Week "My worst day at golf still beats my best day at work."

Weather at Oliva Nova :- It was a pleasant morning when we started the round , but as always, the wind became stronger and more difficult to play against as the day progressed. The course at Oliva Nova continues to improve every week, with a lot of hard work being applied from the green staff.

Today, we had 43 members turning out for today's event. We welcomed five guest players, namely Bob Seaton, Billy Campbell, Steve Devine, Martin Livesey and one of the green staff from Oliva Nova namely Cesar Puerto Diaz.

We had eleven teams of four (almost) and all members of the team had to use their scores from time to time. 6 holes when two scores counted, six holes when three scores counted and 6 holes when all four scores counted.

It was a thrilling finish to the competition, with only two points separating the top three teams.

In 1st Place was the team of Colin Foster, Roger Miller, Martin Gates(again) and Bill Pike with 118 points

In 2nd place was Alan Barwick, Nigel Siddal, David O,Connor and Bill Sykes (remember the name) with 116 Points

In 3rd Place was Angus Muir, Danny Herron, and two guests Steve Devine and Cesar Puerto Diaz with 116 Points, only losing second place on a count back.

Congratulations to all of our winners for a great showing today

Balls in the water:- There were 114 balls in the water and the lucky winner of this was Bill Sykes.

There were 2 holes where 2's were recorded and one was went to one of our guests Martin Livesey who unfortunately did not enter the competition, and the other person was Bill Sykes.

It sound like the Bill Sykes show, but he really did play well today.

Nearest the Pin at Hole No 16 was Paul Singh

In conclusion, it was a very good competition played in the best of spirit, and enjoyed by all our members

We welcome guest players every week, so if you would like to play with Pego Golf Society
