Holy Week comes to the La Safor region from the 2 to the 9 April. This Festival of National Tourist Interest has its roots in the 19th century when the Stations of the Cross were sung and prayed on the streets of Gandia, and when the brotherhoods first came together in all their splendour. Now, it’s an event that is famous for its beauty, religious strength and emotional processions, not to mention the participation from locals that make it what it is today.
