20,000 tickets for La Tomatina, on sale on Thursday

The Tourism Center in Valencia will host the launch of the website for La Tomatina (www.latomatina.info) on Thursday and for the first time, tickets will go on sale for those wishing to participate in this Festival  held on the last Wednesday of August in Buñol.

The official song  La Tomatina ‘Uncle Fredo’, included in his latest album will be released soon.

Buñol City Council announced last September its intention to charge an entry for its most popular festival, the Tomatina, due to economic difficulties, which have “threaten its survival” and also the need to limit the capacity for security reasons . Therefore, there is a now a limit of 20,000 tickets to enter the famous ‘tomato war’  previous years the festival had been attanded by an incredible 50,000 people.
