British Criminals in Spain to feel force of UK's newest crime-fighters

Organised criminals who believe they can evade arrest by hiding in Spain will feel the full force of the UK's newest crime fighting agency when it goes live this month. From 7 October the National Crime Agency (NCA) will use more than 4,000 specialist crime fighters to tackle some of the world's toughest and most organised criminals. The new agency will strengthen relations between law enforcement in the UK and Spain.

Expats urged to point friends and family towards Foreign Office information Spain has emerged as the Number 1 destination for people seeking expert advice about buying a home in the sun. Two thirds of prospective purchasers who sought advice from Foreign Office property experts at the 'A Place In The Sun' show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham last weekend said their preferred destination was Spain.

Weekly Craft Fair in La Nucía starts again From Ocotber 13th

 La Nucia will once again set up a small but attractive craft market every Sunday morning.  This time, because more stalls want to participate, the market will be set up in the Plaza de los Músicos.  Every Sunday, from 10 pm to 2 am, about 15 stalls will set up to sell their work - made by hand by the people on the stalls.  That's what Artesanía de Autor means - real craftwork made by dedicated people.

Spain paves the way for thousands of non-EU property investors as new residency rules become law

The long-anticipated legislation granting non-EU nationals automatic Spanish residency via property investments has now officially been made law. After having been approved by the Spanish Parliament, the law has been officially published in the state Gazette (BOE), opening the door to thousands of potential investors.
